Call for Nominations of CEC Board Members

The Board of Directors of Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is seeking candidates for positions on the board of directors for the upcoming year.
The CEC seeks to put forward and develop a Board with a diverse skill set and a broad range of experiences in various areas and professional sectors. Successful applicants will have a range of skills and experiences which may include, without limitation, experience related to not-for-profit organizations, provincial or national sports organizations, finance, legal, accounting, other directorships, corporate governance, marketing, or information technology.
The CEC Board has struck a Nominations Committee which will be reviewing the applications and making recommendations to the Board. The Board will put forward the names of recommended director nominees to the CEC’s voting Members (the Alpine Club of Canada, Sport Climbing BC, Alberta Climbing Association, Ontario Climbing Federation and the FQME). The CEC’s voting Members will elect individuals to the CEC Board at the CEC’s Annual General Meeting which will take place in Montreal during the 2019 Lead and Speed National Championships (time, date and location to be announced).
