Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is excited to recognize Climb Yukon as the official Territorial Sport Organization (TSO) for competition climbing in the Yukon Territory, and to welcome it as the newest member of CEC. Climb Yukon is the first recognized territorial organization for competition climbing in Canada and it is supported by Sport Yukon and the Government of Yukon. CEC is honored and excited to be working with such a great emerging organization.

Climb Yukon will have an important voice in helping CEC shape the direction of competition climbing in the years to come” says Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of CEC.
CEC is the national governing body for the sport of competition climbing. The purpose of CEC is to be a leader in the promotion and development of competition climbing in Canada for athletes and the extended climbing community. CEC strives to enable athletes to achieve their high performance potential in an ethical, equitable, and equal competition environment.
This ambitious purpose could not be achieved without the help and support of the Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSO) and the Alpine Club of Canada. Climb Yukon’s purpose is to provide safe climbing opportunities for all ages and at a variety of levels, including recreational and competitive. Climb Yukon aims to achieve this through education, community events, coaching and instruction, and regular access to indoor climbing facilities.
