As explained in the latest Executive Director Blog, CEC has seen its funding decrease significantly for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year. This unfortunate situation means difficult decisions that affect us all, including in the CEC main office through staff reduction.
It is with mixed emotions that we share the news of Veronica Sweeney’s departure from the CEC. While we are saddened to bid her farewell, we also want to take a moment to recognize her exceptional contributions during her time as the Sport Development Coordinator.
Since joining us in August 2022, Veronica has exhibited exceptional dedication, professionalism, and effectiveness in her role. She has taken the lead on the CEC Series Events, managing our activities with much effectiveness and professionalism. Veronica’s unwavering commitment to quality has had a significant impact on the development of our sports programs.
We express our sincerest appreciation for Veronica’s hard work, dedication, and the positive energy she has brought to the CEC. We are grateful for her contributions during her time with us, and we acknowledge the lasting impression she has left.
As Veronica embarks on new opportunities, we extend our best wishes for her future, and we have no doubt she will excel.
Veronica’s last day with CEC will be on June 30, 2023. Veronica, we want to emphasize that you will always be considered a valued member of the CEC family. The door will remain open, and we hope our paths will cross again in the future. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
