CEC is inviting nominations for Event Leads to support the delivery of our Regional, National, and Continental competitions across the country.
Behind every successful competition is a dedicated team of organizers working to ensure athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers have an exceptional experience. Event Leads play a key role in coordinating these efforts and ensuring that competitions are delivered according to CEC standards and international best practices.
Have you ever wanted to be involved behind the scenes of major climbing events? Are you detail-oriented, purpose-driven, and passionate about organizing and hosting hundreds of friends from the climbing community? If so, we encourage you to step forward.
CEC is looking to expand its network of Independent Contractors who help deliver events across Canada. Event Leads work closely with CEC staff, host gyms, officials, volunteers, and local partners to coordinate logistics and ensure competitions run smoothly from planning through execution.

- Planning the delivery of the event, including developing a Floor Plan, Communication Plan and Emergency Action Plan
- Monitoring registrations, entering athletes into Vertical Life, and supporting the recruitment and coordination of volunteers
- Overseeing event operations on-site, ensuring smooth delivery by coordinating all departments and troubleshooting issues as they arise
