Climbing Escalade Canada is inviting applications from individuals interested in serving on the CEC Board of Directors.
The Board is responsible for supervising the management of CEC’s business and affairs and providing effective governance and strategic oversight for the organization.
CEC is seeking candidates who can contribute a diverse range of skills, perspectives, and professional experiences. Relevant experience may include:
- Not-for-profit or sport organizations
- Finance, accounting, legal, and risk management
- Corporate governance or previous board service
- Marketing, communications, and fundraising
- Information technology
- Other professional or community leadership experience
CEC is committed to maintaining a well-balanced and diverse Board and particularly encourages applications that strengthen gender representation and self-identified diversity, including racialized, LGBTQIA2S+, and disability representation.
The CEC Board Nominations Committee will review all applications and recommend candidates to the Board. Recommended nominees will then be presented to CEC’s voting Members for election at the CEC Annual General Meeting, which will be held virtually on September 22, 2026.

CEC will also issue a separate call for nominations for athletes interested in serving as athlete directors and representing the athlete voice at the Board level. Athlete directors will be elected by their fellow athletes, with further details to be provided shortly.
