Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) confirms a venue change for the Youth Lead National Championships, which will now take place at Canyon Escalade in La Prairie, Quebec.
This decision follows a thorough technical and operational evaluation process, including multiple discussions with all relevant partners. As with all national events, CEC’s priority is to ensure a competitive environment that meets established standards and reflects the level of excellence required for a Youth National Championship.
The transformation of the facilities available at Accès Escalade Montréal (AEM) for hosting lead events, following the recent closure of Horizon Roc and the opening of the new Monolithe centre, required a joint review of certain logistical parameters related to hosting a national-level event.
Following this evaluation, CEC and AEM agreed that it would be preferable to relocate the event for this year.
CEC would like to sincerely thank Accès Escalade Montréal and Monolithe for their collaboration, openness, and willingness to work with us throughout this process. CEC has successfully partnered with AEM on numerous national-level events over the years, and their experience and professionalism in event delivery are well established and greatly appreciated.
CEC looks forward to collaborating with AEM for the 2027 Speed National Championships.
We thank all partners and stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to delivering a successful Youth Lead National Championship at Canyon Escalade.
