After a distinguished career representing Canada on the international climbing stage, Becca Frangos has decided to retire from competitive climbing. Hailing from Canmore, Alberta, Becca began her climbing journey at the age of 10 and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of Canada’s top sport climbers.
Becca’s career highlights include multiple top 30 finishes at Lead World Cup events, representing Canada at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile and National titles both at the youth and adult level. Throughout her career she has accumulated over 40 World Cup and three World Championship appearances.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Becca has been a role model and mentor within the climbing community, inspiring many with her commitment and sportsmanship. As she steps away from competition, she looks forward to new challenges and opportunities and continuing to contribute to the sport by mentoring the next generation of Canadian competitive climbers.
Becca extends her heartfelt gratitude to her coaches, teammates, sponsors, and fans for their unwavering support throughout her career. She remains deeply appreciative of the experiences and relationships forged during her time as a competitive climber.
