For the very first time, Sport Climbing will be featured at the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Quebec City:
- Boulder: March 9–10, 2027
- Lead: March 12–13, 2027
Climbing Escalade Canada is seeking to appoint 12 Major Officials for the event, as follows:
- 1 Head Routesetter – Boulder (Work Dates: March 5–10, 2027)
- 4 Routesetters – Boulder (Work Dates: March 5–10, 2027)
- 1 Head Routesetter – Lead (Work Dates: March 8–13, 2027)
- 3 Routesetters – Lead (Work Dates: March 8–13, 2027)
- 1 Jury President (Work Dates: March 8–13, 2027)
- 1 Head Judge (Work Dates: March 9–13, 2027)
- 1 Head Belayer – Lead (Work Dates: March 11–13, 2027)
These are volunteer positions for the Canada Games. Major Officials will not receive compensation; however, approved expenses, including travel, accommodation, and meals, will be covered by the Games. CEC may also be able to provide a small honorarium, to be determined.
Interested candidates must apply through the official application form. Preference will be given to candidates from Quebec City and the province of Quebec.

The CEC Routesetting Committee and Technical Committee will support the selection process, with final appointments approved by the CEC Board of Directors. Selected candidates will be required to hold a valid CEC license and complete all Safe Sport screening requirements.
