Announcing the Co-Head Coaches for the 2025 Youth World Championships

Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is thrilled to announce Andrei Mandzuk and Regan Kennedy as the Co-Head Coaches for Team Canada at the 2025 IFSC Youth World Championships! Their exceptional expertise, dedication to athlete development, and shared vision for fostering excellence in youth climbing make them the perfect leaders to guide our team on the international stage.

The 2025 Youth World Championships will take place in Helsinki, Findland, on July 28- August 3, 2025. This year’s event will include Youth A and Youth B athletes only (removal of Junior). Qualification details are available here: IFSC Youth World Championships – Climbing Escalade Canada

Meet the Coaches:

Andrei Mandzuk
Based in Vancouver, BC, Andrei Mandzuk is a highly accomplished educator, researcher, and coach specializing in sport psychology and elite performance. With a Master’s degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology and ongoing doctoral studies focusing on the psychological characteristics of excellence in climbing, Andrei brings a unique and holistic approach to coaching.

His extensive experience includes serving as Assistant Coach for CEC’s Youth National Team and Mental Performance Consultant for high-performance athletes across various sports. As a pioneer in integrating mental performance strategies into climbing training, Andrei’s innovative methods have consistently helped athletes achieve their full potential. His leadership will be instrumental in preparing Team Canada for success at the 2025 Youth World Championships.

Regan Kennedy
A passionate climbing coach, educator, and community builder, Regan Kennedy hails from Calgary, Alberta. With a Master’s in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor’s in Education, she combines her academic background with years of coaching experience at local, national, and international levels. As the founder of Bolder Climbing Inc., Regan has cultivated a thriving climbing community while mentoring athletes to achieve excellence in the sport.

Her innovative programs emphasize holistic development, incorporating technical, mental, and physical training tailored to each athlete’s needs. Regan’s expertise, coupled with her commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments, ensures Team Canada will be well-prepared to take on the global competition.
