Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is seeking candidates for positions on the Board of directors for the upcoming year. The primary function of the Board is to supervise the management of the business and affairs of the CEC. Candidates will be elected for a term of 2 years. Elections will take place at the 2024 Annual General Meeting, which will be held virtually on September 24, 2024.

Members at-large
For the 2024 – 2025 year, CEC is particularly interested in finding directors with experience in Grants writing, Legal Support, and IT Advice. We are also seeking diverse candidates, particularly gender and self-identified diversity (e.g., racial, LGBTQIA2S+, disability), as well as bilingual candidates.
Athletes Representative
This year, we are seeking nominations from a male athlete who wish to serve as directors and represent the voice of athletes at the board level. The athlete representatives on the board will be elected by their fellow athletes, and will be appointed co-chair of the Athletes’ Commission (current female representative: Babette Roy).
