Climbing Escalade Canada is pleased to publish two approved Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) Carding Nomination Criteria documents: the 2026/27 four-month carding cycle and the 2027/28 full-year carding cycle.
This marks CEC’s first athlete carding allocation. CEC is grateful to receive this important support from the Government of Canada, through Sport Canada, for Canadian climbing athletes. The AAP provides direct financial support to eligible high-performance athletes, while CEC is responsible for developing sport-specific nomination criteria and nominating eligible athletes to Sport Canada for review and approval.
These documents outline the criteria, process, eligibility requirements, and nomination priorities that will guide CEC’s AAP nominations for the upcoming carding cycles.
The English versions of the documents are now available on the CEC National Team Program page:

French versions of the documents will be released next week.
