Oct 28, 2026

A coast-to-coast celebration of Canadian climbing, featuring National Championships, Regional Championships, and international competition opportunities.

Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is thrilled to announce its 2026–2027 National Competition Season, featuring an exciting calendar of events that will bring together Canada’s top climbers, emerging talent, and passionate climbing communities from across the country.

With competitions spanning five provinces, the upcoming season promises thrilling performances across Boulder, Lead, Speed, and Para-Climbing disciplines, while continuing to strengthen Canada’s growing competitive climbing community.

“We are incredibly excited to unveil this season’s calendar and bring national-level competition to so many fantastic climbing communities across Canada,” said Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of Climbing Escalade Canada. “Our competitions are about more than medals. They are opportunities to celebrate our athletes, develop the next generation of talent, and bring our climbing community together. We are particularly grateful to the climbing facilities and local organizers who have stepped forward to make these events possible.”

The season kicks off in Montréal with the Speed National Championships and Development Camp, combining elite competition with an opportunity to support the development of Canada’s next generation of speed climbers.

February will feature an action-packed series of National Championships, beginning with the Para-Climbing National Championships in Ontario. This event will place a special emphasis on community, inclusion, and celebrating Canada’s para-climbing athletes.

The spotlight then shifts to Québec, where Rose Bloc in Longueuil and Canyon Escalade in La Prairie will welcome Canada’s top senior athletes for the Boulder and Lead National Championships.

In April, youth athletes will compete at the Eastern and Western Regional Championships, hosted in Ontario and Saskatchewan, before coming together for the Youth National Championships in May.
