Climbing Escalade Canada Announces Canadian Stops for the 2025 North American Cup Series

Jan 23, 2025

Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is thrilled to unveil the Canadian stops on the 2025 North American Cup Series (NACS)! Complementing these events, USA Climbing will soon announce four additional stops, bringing the 2025 NACS calendar to six events (three per discipline) across multiple locations.

NACS Boulder – May 3-4, 2025
The first Canadian stop will showcase Boulder athletes at Rose Bloc Longueuil, a new climbing facility quickly establishing itself as a standout training center on Montreal’s South Shore. Known for its commitment to excellence, Rose Bloc’s mission is to elevate athletes to shine on the international stage. From exceptional route setting to contributions to World Cup events, their elite and professional teams continually push the boundaries of climbing.

This Boulder NACS event will replicate a World Cup format, featuring isolation rounds from qualification through finals, alongside world-class route setting in a state-of-the-art facility. It’s a must-see event for the climbing community and a thrilling challenge for participating athletes.

“Rose Bloc is extremely proud and excited to host the 2025 NACS Bouldering event,” says Simon Dupuis Collette, Owner and General Manager of Rose Bloc. “Our goal is to deliver a competition of the highest caliber, with outstanding organization, exceptional route setting, and an electric atmosphere. We aim to offer a prestigious competition for the best athletes in North America.”

NACS Lead & Speed – June 20-22, 2025
In the spirit of the NACS mission—to bridge the development gap between National Championships and the World Cup circuit—this event in Edmonton will deliver an unforgettable experience. Imagine an outdoor venue, enthusiastic crowds, and a festival-like atmosphere—all key ingredients for a standout competition.

The event will utilize the Climb YEG Wall, previously used for the Ice Climbing World Championships, and leverage the expertise of a seasoned event management team. Branded as a “World Cup Simulation,” this event promises to deliver the look and feel of a premier international competition.

“Climb YEG is excited to join the NACS circuit and showcase sport climbing to the community at our new outdoor climbing facility.” says Adam Luciuk, Owner of Climb YEG and Offbeat Entertainment. “We promise an event not just for the pros, but one that provides for athletes of all abilities and aims to support the growth of climbing in Canada. We are excited to help showcase climbing in a thrilling, exciting way.”
