Climbing Escalade Canada is excited to host the 2025 CEC Para-Climbing National Championships! This inaugural event will mark a milestone in the development of para-climbing in Canada!
- Where: Canyon Escalade, La Prairie, QC
- When: February 8-9, 2025
Athlete Registration
This event is open to all participants with disabilities, regardless of their climbing level. Participants must be 17 years of age or more on December 31, 2025 and must identify within one of the Para-Climbing Sport Classes.
This event is also open to participants from outside of Canada. All participants must be a member of their National Federation (ex: CEC, USA Climbing). If you are not a member of any National Federation, we ask you to purchase the Canadian Para-Climbing License.
- Canadian Para-Climbing License: $65 CAD
- International License (for those members of ANY National Federation, other than Canada): $0
- Competition registration: $100 CAD

Coach and Aid Registration
- ALL coaches, aids, and callers must purchase the 2024-2025 Coach Membership: $75
- There are no Competition Registration Fee for Coaches, Aids and/or Callers
- ALL must complete the Safe Sport Requirements
Only Registered coaches/aids/callers will be allowed in ISO and allowed to fill APPEALS.

Classification
For the 2025 Event, we will conduct “self-classification” and utilize the Honnor System.
Upon registration, we kindly ask that you self-identify within one of these classes:
- AU2 (Upper Limb Amputee *not allowed to use prosthetic)
- AU3 (Hand impairment)
- AL1 (Bilateral Lower limb impairment)
- AL2 (Unilateral Lower Limb Amputee *prosthetics allowed)
- B1 (Visually Impaired: Completely or almost completely blind *must wear blindfold during competition regardless of sight)
- B2 (Visually Impaired: Moderately blind)
- B3 (Visually Impaired: Legally blind with corrective measures)
- RP1 (Range of Power: Severe impact)
- RP2 (Range of Power: Moderate impact)
- RP3 (Range of Power: Mild impact)
Format and Schedule

Friday
- Technical Meeting – 7pm
Saturday Qualifier Round (2 routes)
- Gym opens for warm up – 7:30am
- First Climbers – 9:00am
- Qualifiers end – 2pm
- COACH INFO SESSION – 2pm (or right after end of qualification round)
- TEAM CANADA INFORMATION SESSION – 2pm (or right after end of qualification round)
- This session is open to every Canadian Climber interested to know more about Team Canada – ranking and selection process, International events, Paralympic pathway, etc. Join us to know more about Climbing Canada, and to ask all your questions!
Sunday Final Round (1 route)
- ISO Opens – 9am
- ISO Closes – 10:00am
- Observations – 10:10am
- Athletes Presentation – 10:30am
- First Climbers – 10:45am
- Finals End – 1:15pm
- Awards – 1:30pm

If there are less than 3 athletes registered in a single sport class, the following merging patern will be used.
